MEET OUR TEAM
Phakamani 'Arise' team members bring a variety of experience to the organization, and come from a wide range of backgrounds. The team includes PhDs, social workers, nonprofit leaders, accountants and management experts. Together, we work to create healthy environments that help strengthen the capacity of the most vulnerable children in the community.

Tryphine Mathe
Tryphine Mathe has excellent interpersonal skills having served across various denominations in the field of Theology and Biblical studies. Her further experience range from serving in Administration and Finance for more than fifteen years in different organizations in Harare and Bulawayo in Zimbabwe.
Co-ordinator- Administration and Capacity building
She has also served extensively in training of Church leadership.Her cross cultural and intercultural expertise were enhanced by the years she spent hosting Biblical scholars from other countries as they came to teach various Churches in Zimbabwe. She has done some ministry related studies up to postgraduate level. She brings a wide range of teaching experience having taught for more than ten years in Theological education.Tryphine is a great fit in Phakamani because of her maturity, ability to work with different churches, and her administration expertise. We welcome her as our coordinator focusing on Administration and Church leadership training. She is also serving as an associate Pastor at Bible Inn Word Ministries.
Karl Malotane
Operations Advisor
Karl is the Co-founder of Phakamani 'Arise' Foundation. He is married to Josie and brings a wide range of international experiences having lived, studied and served in various countries. He has studied up to postgraduate level, and has also done a number of validated short courses, and participated in short term
cross cultural missions. Karl’s competences are enhanced by the different serving opportunities he had from a classroom teaching environment to national and regional leadership. With all expert skills, experiences and exposure mentioned above, Karl plays a key role at Phakamani ‘Arise’ by facilitating advisory support for effective operations that lead to quality and excellence. He currently serves as the Academic Dean for Theological College of Southern Africa based in Zimbabwe(http://tcsa-zim.com/) and Africa Regional Advisor on transformational Education at Teach Beyond. Duduzile Ndhlovu
Duduzile Ndhlovu brings a wide range of experience having served as a Pastor and Worship leader. She is highly compassionate in working with people from diverse backgrounds especially those with different struggles. She has done countless marriage and family counseling sessions helping many with

various struggles and also addressing issues of conflict resolution.She has studied practical Theology and has worked with missionaries from different countries connecting them with ministry opportunities in surrounding communities. The expert skills that Duduzile gathered over the years will contribute in the transformation of the disadvantaged children that we are targeting. We welcome her as our coordinator focusing on churches engagements and child welfare support. Duduzile is married to Elijah Ndhlovu and Pastors at Balm of Gilead World Ministries based in Bulawayo
Mathamsanqa Dube
Chairperson
Has an excellent background in teaching and lecturing at tertiary level. His further studies in the UK focused on learning dynamics encountered in an ever changing world using modern technology and empowerment of others leading to sustainability.He is highly respected in the field of non governmental sector as he consults
with different organizations and has served for more than thirty years in the field of education. He is the founding Principal of the Joshua Mqabuko Polytechnic and Teachers Training College (Gwanda) where he served in leadership from 1995 to 2008. Currently, he is serving as Principal of Blended Education College of Southern Africa (BECSA). Further, he serves at the Theological College of Southern Africa (TCSA) as the Principal since 2009, where he oversees the operations and vision of the College. Tham also served in the Assemblies of God Zimbabwe executive team from 1985 to 2000. Currently, he pastors an Assemblies of God church in Tshabalala (Bulawayo). He has widely traveled internationally and his expertise and skills are a great asset in the life of Phakamani 'Arise' Foundation. He is married to Pesiwa Dube and they have three grown children.
David Radford
Organizational Advisor - Growth & Stability
Has been married to Susan for more than fifty years and together they have four children who are all married and have nine grandchildren. David has retired from full time work as a Chartered Accountant but continues to act as a tax and business consultant to a number of clients through his business, Overdale House
Limited.In the past David has combined his career with a variety of roles such as leading a Church for fourteen years and currently travels to different African countries with a ministry focused on the building of strong families, churches, leadership development and any related advisory support. David lives in Leicestershire in the United Kingdom and brings a lot of maturity and wisdom that facilitates growth and stability of Phakamani 'Arise' foundation.
Josie Sebata Malotane
Advisor to Board and Organisation
She is the founder of Phakamani 'Arise' Foundation. Josie is married to Karl Malotane and they have been blessed with three children (Adriel, Danston and Yana).She brings a wide range of international experience having spent most of her career working with diverse populations strengthening the capacity of individuals
and families to improve their lives and reach their God given potential. Josie holds Masters degrees in Applied Behavior Analysis from Regis College in the United States and in Missions from Gloucestershire University in the United Kingdom and other undergraduate relevant studies. Josie has lived and worked in different countries including Zimbabwe, South Africa, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States. Furthermore she has served in the Church in various capacities. Presently, Josie works as a mental health clinician at the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester in New Hampshire in the United States. Her key role is to give advisory support to the Board and the organization in general.
Jessica Brockstedt
Fundraising, Linkage & Partnerships
Was born in New Hampshire and then lived in Massachusetts for14 years. Jessica is married to Dan and the couple have two teenage children, Rebecca and John, and five cats and three dogs. The family currently lives in Kansas. Jessica has a passion for working with children that became a reality seven years ago
when she became a public school paraprofessional working with children with disabilities. In her free time, Jessica helps run a food truck with her husband and also enjoys reading, crocheting and crafting. She plays a key role in partnerships development.
Gordon Chinamasa
Organizational Advisor - Research & Development
Gordon holds a Master of Social Work degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas and is a Ph.D. Candidate at Simmons University School of Social Work. He is married to Bronwyn and were blessed with two beautiful daughters. He is a licensed independent clinical social worker.
He also holds a clinical certificate in the Relational and Multi-Contextual Treatment of Trauma, has served as a public school-based partner empowering at-risk students to succeed, as an in-home therapist providing counseling services for youth at risk of out-of-home placements as a result of severe emotional and behavioral difficulties, in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’s Department of Children and Families providing assessment and case management to children and family involved in the child welfare system, and in emergency behavioral health services clinician program conducting crisis assessment, intervention and stabilization services in acute care and community-based settings. Currently he is an Associate Professor of Practice at Simmons University School of Social Work teaching both in the online and on-ground platforms. Gordon is very involved in his local church as an Elder. He holds graduate theological degrees in biblical languages, biblical studies and biblical archaeology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. His diverse expert skills, will contribute in research and development of Phakamani 'Arise' Foundation.
Rose Verderame
Fundraising, Linkage & Partnerships
Has lived in New Hampshire all her life. She has a passion for helping people which arose from her lived experience growing up in the foster care system. Rose holds an Associate degree in Early Childhood, a BA in Biblical Studies and completed a Masters degree in Christian Counseling in 2013. Rose has been working in
the human service field since 2010 in various capacities including residential staff at a residential program for women struggling with substance use problems, direct support professional in a day program for adults with developmental disabilities, residential manager in an adult group home, and family outreach/clinical case manager at a mental health center in Manchester, New Hampshire. Her professional passion is supporting equity and inclusion and creating opportunity for all people. In her free time, Rose enjoys hiking, biking and soccer. Rose plays a key role in connecting Phakamani 'Arise' Foundation with churches.
Sipho Mhizha
Community Projects - Church partnerships
Sipho Mhizha is married to Siphilisiwe Ncube and they have four children. Mhizha is an ordained minister serving with Brethren In Christ Church in Gwanda. He has served in the church as a youth pastor, church planter and for the past fifteen years as a senior pastor leading a church in Gwanda of about seven 700 members
Rev. Mhizha holds a Diploma in Theology from Ekuphileni Bible Institute, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from the Theological College of Zimbabwe, and has been trained as a Trainer of Trainers in peace and conflict resolution under the United Nations Development Program. Rev. Mhizha acquired a peace and building certificate at the National University of Science and Technology and he is currently serving as the provincial chairperson for Evangelical fellowship of Zimbabwe, which sits at the National Executive Council. Rev Mhizha is the provincial focal person for ecumenical church leaders forum and an ambassador for Gwanda under Zimbabwe Christian Alliance.His connections with different Churches and partnerships competencies, will empower Phakamani ‘Arise’ to effectively work with others.
Terry Nightingale
Organizational Advisor - Church Leadership Training
Pastor Terry Nightingale is married to Sue Nightingale and they moved to Australia in 2003 from the UK. They have two grown-up children both married, and five grandchildren. Terry is a Pastor and writer serving in the southern suburbs of Perth (Southern River Church of Christ), Western Australia, having previously worked in
education both in the UK and Perth. Terry has been involved in Christian ministry in a variety of ways over the years from teaching to evangelism, from music ministry to pastoral care.
After a long career in Christian Education, he completed a Masters in Divinity (Theology) in 2016. Since then he has been serving as a Pastor, accredited with the Australian Churches of Christ. He published several books and on ongoing basis, he publishes some regular devotions.Its a blessing to have Pastor Terry in the Board team with much focus on using some of his written work for our Church leadership development and having him serve as our advisor on effective Church leadership training.
Mumo Sibanda
Community Projects - Monitoring & Evaluation
She holds a MS degree in Development Studies and has vast experience in program design, monitoring and evaluation. Throughout the years, Mumo has worked with World Vision and has vast experience in the management of sponsorship KPIs including GN management and registration of registered
children in a bid to address child well-being issues among children living within the program areas. Mumo has been efficiently and effectively serving as an officer for the past 10 years with World Vision and has hands-on experience in the implementation of WASH, health and nutrition, Livelihoods including education and life skills. Mumo has solid grass root experience in financial management, provision of technical support in various programming areas and people management and possesses good working knowledge on the following, stakeholder management, development programing approach, community capacity building, and social mobilization. Her community based expert skills will enhance quality and excellence in field operations.
Clopas Ncube
Community Projects - Business & Entrepreneurship
Pastor Clopas Ncube is an ordained minister with New Life For All Fellowship Church International and currently serves as the Bishop. Prior to his appointment, he served in various capacities in the life of the church. Besides his involvement in the church, he has also led and trained various communities under such
organizations as Zambuko Trust. His traceable references show and endorse his undivided passion in community development with vast experience in micro finance and business development. Clopas is an advisor in two non-profit organizations boards. He is a qualified electrician and enjoys watching soccer and doing electrical work during his spare time. Clopas has two grown up daughters and a grandchild.He facilitates the process of our targeted families becoming self reliant through various community based projects.
